The hub is a circular barrel shaped metal part with a center mounted on a shaft that supports the tire with an inner profile. Also called wheel ring, steel ring, wheel wheel, tire bell. Wheel hubs vary according to diameter, width, forming mode, and materials.
There are three manufacturing methods for wheel hubs: gravity casting, forging, and low pressure precision casting. 1.
